Covering a Student's Participation Costs
How this works, and how it's different from a gift to the Indianola Music Boosters.
Iowa schools are not permitted to charge fees for participation in school programs. Instead, families are asked to contribute toward the suggested cost of items like show choir costumes, music, and materials — expenses the school program has already incurred on a student's behalf.
A few things we want you to know before you give:
- Your contribution is private. We do not share giving information with directors or programs. A student's name is never requested, and no one in the program will know whether, or how much, your family has contributed.
- There is no required amount. Give what you're comfortable with. If you'd like to contribute more over time, you're welcome to return and give again at any point — every bit helps.
- These contributions are not tax-deductible. They go directly toward recovering program costs and are handled separately from the Indianola Music Boosters nonprofit.
If you're looking to make a tax-deductible gift instead, visit our Give page — donating an instrument, matching gifts, planned giving, and gifts to the endowment all qualify.
We're working on adding recurring contribution options soon — thank you for your patience.
