If you care about a kid with an instrument in their hands — or a song in their head — you already qualify.
Membership is free and open to every parent, guardian, and community member who shares our commitment to music education in Indianola. There are no dues and no sign-up form — just show up. As a member you can vote on budget decisions, serve on committees, and run for a board position.
Dates and locations occasionally shift — always check the calendar before you come. Meeting minutes are available on request: secretary@indianolamusic.org.
02 · Volunteer
Work a concession shift at the Casey's Center or the Paul McKee Jazz Festival, greet families at Ascension, or help vendors settle in at the Crafts & Vendors Show.
Help with meal service for marching band, honor groups, and pep band — or lend a hand with Thelma's Chicken Dinners supporting show choir.
Serve on a standing or ad hoc committee — scholarships, fundraising, the patron program, All State logistics — or help run one of our special events.
Come to a performance and cheer on our 2,650+ student musicians. Buy a yard sign, a music button, or an Indianola Music shirt on your way out.
03 · Leadership
Board officers are nominated and elected at the June meeting each year, and any member is eligible to run. Committee chairs are appointed by the president and directors — several are open right now.
No booster résumé required. Our best officers started by working one concession shift.
Even a single event shift makes a real impact on the experience of 2,650+ student musicians. And if this season is just too full — we get it: a gift of any size does the work of many hands.
